Ireland | COVID-19 | Return To Work Safely Protocol for All Irish Businesses

Following the announcement of a phased reopening of the buisness, the Department of Buisness, Enterprise and Invotion in cooperation with the Health and Safety Authority, published the Return To Work Safely Protocol on 9 May 2020, a mandatory protocol for all Irish businesses.

The Return to Work Safely Protocol provides a comprehensive and detailed guide to ensure at best the safety of employees in reopening businesses. With sections on Health and Safety obligations and advice on cleaning the workplace, this protocol also offers additional resources from across the Irish Government.

The measures outlined are mandatory and apply to all workplaces. They should be used to achieve the announced phased return.

You can find it here, and read the full announcement here. The HSA will be overseeing compliance.

Additionally, a booklet on supports for businesses impacted by Covid-19 was published by the DBEI with information on available resources and practical steps to take in these times.
